Tapana Catamaran
The northern Andaman route aboard the newer Tapana catamaran — Similan, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock. 6 days, 5 nights, 15 dives, in wide timber-lined cabins on a hull that barely rolls.
A twin-hull catamaran — steadier underway and at anchor than a monohull
Timber-lined cabins throughout, every one with its own bathroom
Three full dives at Richelieu Rock, for the best shot at whale sharks
Upper-deck Master Suite with an adjustable electric bed
Three night dives — Numchai, Surin and Bon Bay
About this trip
Tapana Catamaran is a twin-hull dive boat, and the difference shows: she stays level underway and at anchor, so the surface intervals are genuine rest. Every cabin is lined in timber and has its own bathroom, desk and wardrobe. This northern Andaman run covers the main sites in full — Similan, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai — and gives Richelieu Rock three dives in a single day to maximise the chance of whale sharks and manta rays.
