Advanced Open Water — down to 30 metres
The follow-on from Open Water: certified to 30 metres, with five dives covering specialities such as deep, navigation, night and peak performance buoyancy.
Start from nothing, finish with a licence valid worldwide, to 18 metres
The first scuba certification, for people who have never dived. Theory, pool sessions and four open-water dives; you finish with an internationally recognised card that never expires.
Open Water Diver is the certification that opens the door to everything else. It has three parts: theory covering dive safety and physics, skills practice in a pool, and four dives in open water. By the end you can plan and make dives with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 metres. Prices and details here are a starting point — adjust them from the site admin.
Yes. You need to be able to float and swim a short distance; your instructor will build up the rest during the pool session.
The card itself never expires. If you go 6–12 months without diving, though, we recommend a refresher before joining a liveaboard.
Usually 3–4 days: one or two days of theory and pool work, then two days of open-water dives. It can be arranged across weekends.
